 THERE IS / THERE ARE

            In English we can´t use the verb HAVE to talk about existence.

*HAVE A MAN HERE --> This sentence is extremely incorrect. Because the HAVE expresses possession. For example *I HAVE A DOLL.

          When we want to say that something "exist", somewhere or somebody, we must use THERE IS in the singular and THERE ARE in the plural forms.

THERE + BE = HAVER / EXISTIR
